Information about Eroica Japan’s ride schedule in case of rain
５月13-14日は雨天が予想されております。
エロイカ精神すなわちチャレンジ精神を重要なコンセプトとして位置付けるエロイカジャパンとして、雨天もチャレンジの対象であるとし、下記気象判断基準の③に該当しない場合は原則として雨天催行とさせていただきます。
なお、両カンビウムライド（C70/C35）と本番両ショートルート（WASABI70/35）に関しては、下記 の①（カンビウム）および②（本番ショート）に該当する場合一部ルート変更を行う可能性がございます。※大幅な変更はございません。
5月14日催行のサムライルート（ロングルート）は長い下り坂が連続する場所があり、危険が高まる可能性があるため、下記 に設定しました基準の②に該当する天候の場合はロングルートを中止とし、全員を5月14日6時発の踊り子ルートとさせていただきます。なお、踊り子ルートに変更はありません。
※ゼッケンの変更はありません。
変更決定時は公式ルートに変更後のルートをUPし、5月13日のブリーフィングにて細部のご説明をさせていただきます。また、今回はイベントを盛り上げるための各種エンターテインメントプログラムを予定しておりましたが、上記同様に下記 に基準に該当する天候の場合は一部プログラムを中止とさせていただきます。
※エロイカビレッジとフリーマーケット/コンコルソ・デレガンツァは開催予定です。
※①の場合、CIAO EROICAはクランクベースでの配食となります。
なお、気象判断基準②の場合、その時点でエロイカビレッジ内のエンターテインメントプログラムイベントは中止とさせていただきます。
気象判断基準
①下記ページの5月11日18時時点の気象庁発表天気予報の降水確率が40％以上の場合
②下記ページの5月12日18時時点の気象庁発表天気予報の降水確率が40％以上の場合
③会場およびルートとなる地域のいずれかで雷や竜巻、突風が発生した場合と、気象注意報（および警報/特別警報）が発令された場合。

Dear Eroica Japan Riders
Thank you for your entry for Eroica Japan 2023.
Unfortunately, we are expecting rain on May 13-14.
As Eroica Japan places the spirit of Eroica, or the spirit of challenge, as an important concept, we consider rainy weather to be a challenge, and if the weather conditions do not fall under case (3) of the weather judgment criteria below, the event will, in principle, be held in the event of rain.
Please note that the route of both cambium rides (C70/C35) and both short routes (WASABI70/35) may be partially changed if they fall under Case 1 (cambium) or Case 2 (short route) as follows. There will be no major changes.
The Samurai Route (long route) on May 14 has a series of long downhill sections that may be more dangerous, In the event that the weather conditions fall under Case 2 of the following criteria, the Long Route will be cancelled and all participants will take the Odoriko Route starting at 6:00 a.m. on May 14.
*No changes will be made to the bib numbers.
When the decision to change the route is made, the new route will be posted on the official route and the details will be explained at the briefing on May 13.
In addition, we have scheduled various entertainment programs to liven up the event, but in the event of the following weather conditions, some of the programs will be cancelled.

In the case of Case 1, CIAO Eroica will serve meals on a crank base.
Please note that in case of weather judgment criteria Case 2, the entertainment program events in Eroica VILLAGE will be cancelled at that time.
Weather Criteria
Case 1: The weather forecast by the JMA(Japan Meteorological Agency) at 18:00 on May 11 as shown in the following page indicates a 40% chance of precipitation or more.
Case 2: When the probability of precipitation is 40% or higher as forecast by the JMA at 6:00 p.m. on May 12 as shown on the following page.
Case 3: When lightning, tornadoes, or wind gusts occur at the venue or in one of the areas along the route, or when a weather advisory (and warning/special alert) is issued.

Please note that entry fees will not be refunded in the event that the event is cancelled or suspended or the route is changed due to worsening weather conditions, etc., as stated in the rules and regulations.
